The Jackson County Emergency Operations Center is seeking volunteers for various duties in the county. Not all duties are required to be in person.
Some examples of the need for volunteers, the EOC is working to support the RVCOG senior program to bolster their food delivery program. In a normal MONTH they receive 50 new start requests for daily senior food deliveries. Last WEEK alone they received 50+. Our county Health and Human Services has given them $20K today to assist, which will provide roughly 5,000 additional meals. Volunteer duties would include assisting with deliveries, answering phones, etc.
There are other opportunities to volunteer as well. If you would like to volunteer please contact Brooke Amposta at AmpostBA@JacksonCounty.org.
If you have questions about utilities you may find their information at the links provided below. Some of the utilities are offering assistance by waiving late fees during these difficult times.
