The City of Eagle Point’s Building Department is responsible for administering the State of Oregon Building Codes. Those codes are:
- State of Oregon Structural Specialty Code
- State of Oregon One and Two Family Dwelling Code
- State of Oregon Mechanical Specialty Code
- State of Oregon Manufactured Dwelling Specialty Code
In addition, the department performs plan review and inspections for manufactured dwelling parks and recreational vehicle park construction.
The Building Department processes all building, mechanical and mobile home permit applications. They perform structural and fire-life structural plan review, on-site inspections, and code consultation. The department is responsible for record keeping and data reporting to local, state and federal agencies. The City of Eagle Point issues the sewer permits for Rogue Valley Sewer Services for properties within the City.
