Regionally, a vast array of hiking, boating, camping, and fishing opportunities are available within a 30-45 minute drive from downtown Eagle Point.
Jet boat excursions along the scenic Rogue River start in Grants Pass, located 28 miles north of Medford along Interstate 5. The jet boat excursion is a wet and exciting adventure with wildlife sightings and scenery at every turn. Dinner cruises are offered with full-course meals and plenty to eat.
For the less adventuresome, Ashland, Oregon, offers premier entertainment at the Ashland Shakespeare Festival, located 24 miles south of Medford along Interstate 5. The award-winning productions attract visitors throughout the west to enjoy the professional Shakespearian events. Included in the area entertainment is the Britt Festival in historic Jacksonville, located five miles to the west of Medford.
Snow skiing adventures are available in the winter along the slopes of Mt. Ashland. Cross-country adventures on skis are offered at the Lake of the Woods Resort, located at the summit of highway 140 between Eagle Point and Klamath Falls.
Redwoods & Coastline
Within a two-hour trip from Eagle Point, visitors and residents can marvel at the grandeur of the California redwoods and Redwood National Park. In another 30 minutes you'll find yourself at the Oregon or California coastline.
